#96 F-4 in oil varnish, completed June '07, owner Bryan Law, Alabama

"96 has finally arrived and she is quite beautiful, both in appearance and sound.  She sounds exactly as I would expect.  I haven't had an oval hole mandolin in my hands for a while, and I forgot how direct the sound is coming out of that oval hole.  The bass response is very pronounced and the highs are quite clear and clean.  She sounds extremely well balanced considering she came out of the box today.  Of course, I believe the bass response is always dominant on one of these, and I like it that way.  The volume is quite good...loud but not obnoxious."   -Bryan Law

"Don, Thank you for all the emails back and forth, I was very happy with the amount of communication you provided. It helped to put my mind at ease especially your help and expertise concerning the details of the wood and color selection. I look forward to #51's arrival...

"...I am really enjoying #51, playing her alot. (I'm almost sure its a girl, almost) I hear people talk about the tone opening up on new mandolins, but I can't imagine the tone being any better than it already is."
-Matt Brannan, owner F-5 #51

"#69 has just arrived INtact, UNscratched, and INtune and it is a beautiful, beautiful piece of work. We just had a test flight of "St. Anne's Reel" and I feel I'm getting better already. What a wonderful singing tone, no stridency and I really dig the matte finish, conjuring ancestry of violins and not Les Paul's."
-Dennis Murphy, owner F-5 #69
